This was an exciting urban fantasy, comparable to Jim Butcher’s Dresden Files, though a bit more explicit with darker themes. Quincey Morris is a thoroughly enjoyable character... Fans of the genre will certainly enjoy this story. Gustainis doesn’t skimp on creepy zombies and demented demons. Quincey and Libby face these and more in this fun new series.-- Sci Fi Chick
This is a first rate, gripping, guaranteed unputdownable dark mystery novel that races through modern day Boston, San Francisco, New Orleans and New York. However, the element that drives the story occurs in Salem Village in the year 1692 in the form of a curse dating back to the Salem Witch Trials that has reached through generations of a certain family... This is a fast-moving, well-written, hard-hitting novel in the hot new "magic detective" sub-genre of dark fiction, and Mr. Gustainis has produced an entertaining and involving story that will appeal to fans of horror, mystery and detective fiction. Noir, snappy and cool to the max, Quincey Morris is a supernatural investigator whose stories I'm going to be following with great interest.

Black Magic Woman is an exciting and intelligent read. With its original take on the supernatural and thrilling action it has plenty to entertain even the most demanding fantasy fan, as well as having cross over appeal for crime/mystery readers. Don’t take my word for it - check it out for yourself!
