It is the age of the Celestial Empire, and the mighty civilizations of Imperial China and Mexica have taken their ancient war to the red planet, Fire Star.
The grand sweep of the battle is presented through the eyes of three members of the Dragon Throne's armed services from their induction into the armed forces to their eventual fight for survival on the front line. Time and time again they find themselves locked in a deadly struggle with the Jaguar Knights and Eagle Knights of the Mexica Dominion, and the fate of the new world lies in the balance.
